Sorri Senjam is a prominent singer, composer, and actor from Manipur, known for his work in the Manipuri film and music industry. Influenced by his father, a theatre artist, he began learning music at the age of six and is now a well-known name in the region. Senjam studied Hindustani classical music at Sangit Niketan and took some courses in Western Classical music in Bangalore. Senjam is proficient in playing multiple instruments, including the piano, penna (a traditional Manipuri string instrument), and guitar. Some of his early work as a composer includes the audio cassettes O Maria (1998) and Moreh Sendal (2002).
