Ritima Saikia
India
Sun☀️ Stage
Ritima Saikia is an Assam-born, New Delhi-based singer-songwriter blending jazz, indie-pop and soul with contemporary songwriting and a distinctly personal voice. Rooted in her Assamese identity, she writes about longing, memory, belonging and the small moments of everyday life. Singing in Assamese, English and Hindi, Ritima treats language as another musical texture, allowing regional storytelling to sit naturally alongside modern jazz and indie-pop. Her first single, “Moi Bhabu / Jazzamese,” is a beautiful introduction to this approach. Alongside guitarist Gokul Ram, she creates intimate, soulful soundscapes where voice and guitar feel less like accompaniment and more like a conversation. Her music may begin in Assam, but the emotions are universal. Performing at Ziro Festival at the Sun Stage on 25 September 2026 from1:00 pm – 1:45 pm.
