Mood Station is an Aizawl-based rock band from Mizoram whose sound moves between punk, alternative rock, metal and the band’s own Zopunk identity. Formed in 2010, the group has built a reputation for loud, high-energy performances and music rooted firmly in Mizoram’s independent rock culture. Their self-titled album introduced a broad rock palette, while Zopunk Culture pushed their heavier, punk-driven side forward. Tracks such as Rawn Sapatal Rawh, Ka Rawng A Sen and Kan Phur Thak capture the band’s raw guitars, driving rhythm section and restless stage energy. Mood Station also won the open category of the SEKI Inter Village Band Contest in 2019. At Ziro, expect a hard-hitting set from a band that treats rock less like a genre and more like a full-contact language.
