Blue Temptation is a Shillong-based blues-rock band formed in 2010, known for mixing blues, rock ’n’ roll, R&B and gospel influences into a muscular live sound. Emerging from Meghalaya’s deep-rooted music culture, the band built its reputation through regional performances before releasing its debut album Tempted in 2018. The record moved between gospel-inflected blues, gritty rock and soulful songwriting, while the 2020 single Evil Mind pushed the sound into darker territory with heavy riffs and organ-driven arrangements. Blue Temptation won the Mahindra Blues Band Hunt in 2019 and has continued performing across India. With members including Gregory Ford Nongrum, Shepherd Najiar and Daryll Diengdoh, the band balances strong musicianship with an earthy, unpolished energy. At Ziro Festival 2026, expect soaring guitar work, soulful vocals and Shillong blues played with bite.
