Moher is a psychedelic folk duo based on Jeju Island, South Korea, bringing together Jeju-born singer-songwriter e_so and Irish-trained musician Minkyu Jo. Their music blends Irish bouzouki, acoustic guitar and contrasting vocals into atmospheric, dreamlike soundscapes that evoke the waves, cliffs and landscapes of two distant yet kindred islands. The band came together through a chance encounter in Thailand and takes its name from Ireland’s iconic Cliffs of Moher, meaning “broken fort” in Gaelic. Their debut album, Kaleidoscope, won Best Folk Album at the 22nd Korean Music Awards. Their second album, From the Deep and Dark, released in May 2026, takes their psychedelic folk sound even further. Two islands. Two musical journeys. One beautifully unexpected sound.
