Zequenx is the electronic music alias of Kashmir-born DJ, producer and Ableton Certified Trainer Zainab Wani. Raised in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and now based in Goa, she brings together rave culture, psychedelia, acid, electro, techno and ambient experimentation. A classically trained violinist, Zainab began producing and DJing as Zequenx in 2018 and has since become an important voice in India’s electronic music scene, performing at festivals including Magnetic Fields, Boxout Weekender and DGTL Amsterdam. Alongside her music, she is deeply involved in education and mentorship, creating spaces for emerging electronic artists and FLINTA producers. Her sets are less about genres and more about journeys—immersive, unpredictable and constantly shifting. The grey areas are where Zequenx thrives.
