Signature Moon 🌙 Stage

Shakthisree Gopalan is an award-winning vocalist, composer and songwriter from Kochi, Kerala, known for a voice that moves effortlessly between Carnatic music, indie, jazz, R&B, pop and experimental sounds. Trained in Carnatic music from a young age, she rose to prominence after winning SS Music’s Voice Hunt in 2008 and went on to become one of South India’s most distinctive playback singers. Her long-running collaboration with A.R. Rahman includes the iconic “Nenjukkulle” from Kadal and “Aga Naga” from Ponniyin Selvan. Away from cinema, Shakthisree has built a strong independent music identity, exploring songwriting, electronic textures and improvisation with a range of musicians. She also made her debut as a film composer with The Test. At Ziro, expect a voice that can move from classical finesse to indie soul without missing a beat.
